Description
In keeping with my promise here: [link] I have expanded the hourglass dodecahedron (on the left) into an hourglass truncated icosahedron. This is the same shape as a soccer ball (football for everyone not from the US), or for you nerdy types, the same shape as buckminsterfullerene.
It's really not good for anything beyond awesomeness and taking up space on my desk, which it is very good at!
EDIT: I took a new, much better photograph. The penny is for scale. For those not in the US, a penny is 1.9cm across (Or that's what my calipers say).

It reminds me of one of those 'expand & contract plastic spherical' toys that the discovery channel shop used to have. Only this is maille and therefore infinitely much cooler.
